  • Calling all chefs! PAI Coin Pool Gold is hosting a second Celebrity Livestream Event with Chef Ron Duprat! It will be held on Saturday, August 29 at 9 AM Beijing Time.   • Last week on August 18th, 8:00pm, Dr. Yongzheng Jia, special advisor to Project PAI, participated in a livestream conversation with Shike Jiao, CEO of Chain Century Finance and discussed trending AI and blockchain topics such as smart blockchain storage and computing, and potential business use cases and opportunities utilizing these technologies.   • To encourage more participation, the deadline for our first Project PAI Developer Challenge has been extended indefinitely. We will announce a cutoff date in the future, once an adequate number of submissions have been received. Submit your work any time to challenge@projectpai.com. Remember: All high-quality submissions will be rewarded with 1,500 PAI and the best submission is eligible for a Grand Prize of 15,000 PAI. Don’t miss out!

  • We have added a #DEFI use case to our development roadmap. The development team is evaluating an implementation of Chainlink with the Paichain.info API.

  • Some PAI Community members recently reported that despite having a high number of referrals, the amount of referral earnings they have is showing up as zero. The core contributing engineers discovered that there’s an issue in which the number of PAI Coin are being calculated and displayed, and are currently testing and deploying a solution. The Project PAI contributors thank all the PAI Community members for their feedback.

What is PAI Coin Pool Gold? :thinking:

PAI Coin Pool Gold is a new subscription service being launched as part of PAI Coin Pool. It is a premium service that will offer subscribers additional perks, promotions, and offers through PAI Coin Pool.

PAI Coin Pool Gold subscribers, for a nominal annual fee, paid in Bitcoin OR PAI Coin, will receive:

  • Exclusive access to PCP Gold Live Streams, such as the upcoming PAI Celebrity Series with Rob Mac, an NBA Skills Trainer. For a limited time, these special events are available to the general public, but soon will require subscription to PCP Gold.
  • Increased mining & staking block rewards
  • Increased referral rewards
  • Access to exclusive promotions to earn more PAI
  • Access to a command-line version of PAI Miner
  • Complimentary subscriptions to partner apps, like PlayersIQ

PAI Hybrid Consensus

Here’s a snapshot :camera: of some of the development progress we’re making:

  • Implemented tests for the current stake code in the core of the mobile wallets;
  • Implemented minimal validation needed for connection to the network;
  • Implemented local persistence of new block data for PAI Up iOS;
  • Ongoing testing with two nodes and persistent datadir folders in the testnet Kubernetes deployment;
  • Integrated miningcore into the Kubnernetes deployment;
  • Ongoing investigation of how to make the cpuminer connect to miningcore;
  • Ongoing testing of scaling up the number of miners on testnet
