ObEN believes that every person in the world will soon have their own virtual copy. Many refer to this virtual copy as a Personal AI - or PAI - a digital avatar or a virtual human created using AI technology, designed to look and sound like the person who creates it. The reason we refer to it as a PAI is not just because your virtual copy has been created by AI, but because it can also be operated by AI for a ton of use cases. We see a future wherein one could download (or rather upload) their PAI into the cloud and the PAI could live forever bearing the likeness of its human creator.
ObEN also believes that every person should be ownand control their PAI for their own benefit. Also, a person’s PAI is an expression of a person in the virtual world - thus the person should be able to customize and monetize their PAI as they see fit.
The technology required to build a PAI is quite complicated as it deals with building a full artificial intelligence-based model to capture the likeness of the person. To build a visual likeness, a person takes a selfie on their mobile and the AI then builds a realistic likeness of the person in a few seconds. To make the PAI speak in their voice, the user has to train the PAI model with a few sentences of their voice. In the future, a user should also be able to train their PAI with their personality. One thing to note is that at the start, the PAI is just like a baby. The more you train it and the better data you use, the better the likeness and usefulness of the PAI. Similarly, the premise is that the more time you spend training your PAI, the more it will learn from you and become like you and be able to represent you on your behalf.
The ObEN team has been working hard to launch the first iteration of PAI to its fan base globally. The process to build the AI models which generate a PAI on mobile phones in a matter of seconds is quite complicated and requires a lot of research and development and data modeling by some of the smartest scientists and engineers in the world working out of ObEN’s offices in Pasadena. Some of the work done by ObEN has resulted in some innovative breakthroughs in the area of Personal AI and led to some groundbreaking papers and patents in areas of speech, natural language processing, and computer vision. Further innovation includes minimizing the data required of the user (a selfie with a few sentences), providing for a more convenient and better overall experience..
All the hard work from the ObEN team has now resulted in the birth of its first consumer-centric mobile app called PAIYO. Any user will soon be able to download it on their mobile phones (iOS and Android) and be able to take a selfie and make their ownPAI. They will also be able to change the physical characteristics of their PAI. Want to add more muscle? You got it. Change your PAI’s hairdo? Check. The user can also change outfits on the PAI to best match their own personal style. For the launch, our users in China can celebrate Chinese New Year with a special edition Year of the Rat outfit. The PAIYOapp is expected to be launched by end of January 2020.
This is just the start. We will keep adding more features to PAI. Eventually, we believe that every user can use their PAI to become a KOL/ Influencer in PAIYO.
