The PAI Hybrid Consensus is an upcoming new consensus mechanism designed for the PAI Blockchain by taking the best of both Proof-of-Stake (PoS) and Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus mechanisms and making the blockchain more secure. The Hybrid Consensus mechanism aims to reduce the risks involved with using either PoS or PoW, such as the 51% attack. The hard fork for the Hybrid Consensus is planned to occur in September 2020.
